While I'm not familiar with the distribution of Quark Express, I can tell
you that Office 98 will not be available in the U.S. until the late
February to mid-March time frame.  There is no Office 96 for the Mac; the
latest version, Office 4.2.1, is still available but is generally regarded
as bloated and slow.  Office 98 will be a vast improvement; I'd wait for
that if possible.
