PointCast's "broadcast" and "push" terms are confusing. It isn't spewed out all over the Internet and tuned in like a radio. Data is only sent to clients which request it. Better yet, only updates to the clients' existing content are sent. PointCast's "broadcast" refers to the intelligence built into the user's client software and PointCast's servers which eliminates the slow and tedious task of hunting down URLs in a browser. You tell your client what you want and it automatically appears and stays up-to-date on your machine, as if it was tuned into a broadcast. (The marking people at PointCast are reading this newsgroup and I just called their buzzwords confusing. I'm sure I'll hear about this one tomorrow.)
