All of you have been helpful to very helpful - thanks.

We still haven't gotten the MACS connected just yet but I beleive we
have made progress.

1. We downloaded version 3.07h of APPLETLK.NLM and replaced the 3.07b
we were using.

2. we changed the NET assignment in the BIND statement from 555-555 to
50-55. (we may make it 0-0 but read on to see why we haven't yet)

3. One fact I forgot to note in my previous posts is the CHOOSER has
been giving us the following info (even BEFORE we started messing
around):

Current zone: <no zones available>
and if you double click the ETHERTLK icon, you get a "mac is on a
network with no zones " message.
KEEP IN MIND THE MAC FOLKS SAY THEIR LAN IS JUST FINE.

4. We actually got one of the MACS to see the "DW" zone I defined at
the netware server. We had to take the drop cable OUT of the MACs'
hub and put it DIRECTLY into the MAC itself. ( Of course this is no
solution cuz we need all four MACS to see our netware server)

So my boss thought maybe we needed a crossed drop cable from the wall
to the MACs' hub. BUT THAT FAILED (crossing wires 1 & 2).

Now with these facts:
(A) by passing the hub and plugging into the MAC directly got our "DW"
zone recognized and
(B) the chooser (in the state the macs were in before we tried
anything) says "no zones available"

I dont think the seed vs
non-seed issue is relavent since (B) happens, is it?

Can any of you think of what's next to check???

In addition to postiing your reply, could you also send email to:
