Disinfectant has been regularly updated for new system viruses every
time a new virus has come out for 9 years.  Until last week, it could
deal with all Mac system viruses.

Because the vast majority of Mac-affecting viruses are now macro
viruses, John Norstad has decided to stop supporting Disinfectant
because it's not really all that much use any more.

comp.sys.mac.announce had postings on this a few days ago.

Disinfectant is still excellent if, like me, you've got a 68k Mac and
nothing that can execute a macro virus: the new Mac virus is PPC-only.
Disinfectant can still spot all known viruses capable of affecting my
Mac.
