I need to add EIDE controllers to some older Dell 486 ISA/IDE systems. I need to do this in order to use the larger ( > 1 MB) drives and have multiple bootable partitions spanning the entire disk. Can you recommend an ISA EIDE controller that would work well with this system. We don't need the I/O ports that come with some of these cards, but it's ok if they're there as long as they can be disabled. Also, do you know if anything in config.sys would need to be changed if we switch to that controller? In order to disable the onboard IDE controller, is it just a matter of going into system setup and disabling it? Thanks for any help. - Keith -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keith Bennett Bennett Business Solutions, Inc.
