In article <bfbivs$d1uf0$1@ID-192964.news.uni-berlin.de>, "Thomas M. Goethe" <goethe11@lycos.com> wrote: > You have both on the same system happily workign together? [ Your sig must have been above the previous material you quoted. :) ] That aside, I've also heard there could be problems doing that. But, IIRC, it was more to do with inability to run two versions of DirectCD or equivalent. Which stands to reason as this has to be pretty closely embedded in the system in order to work. If just talking about standard CDR burning software, there's probably no problem because it's invoked as needed AFAIK. Certainly, I was able to run the trial version of CloneCD alternately with Dell's OEM ECDC 4.02d without difficulty. Incidentally, CloneCD looked like a good program, but the good folk who produce it weren't interested in selling me a copy. The question now arises, is there any point still in these "specialist" CD writers like CloneCD, or do the modern versions of Nero etc. do all one might want out of the box? Cheers, Phred. -- ppnerkDELETE@THISyahoo.com.INVALID
