The Torture Test review. Forget who does it each year. Dell keeps winning,
Toshiba are so confident of their product they no longer put in for this
major annual face-off (after a few defeats). Tells you something.....

Panasonic do a machine that's a bit tougher, and much more expensive (I'd
stick with my Latitude). Heard a funny tale last week of the rep visiting a
customer trying to sell the Panasonic and stressing how it couldn't be
destroyed. The MD at the customer is a bit of a head case, so he picks up
the notebook and throws it out the (open) window. It was only the first
floor, and it luckily didn't hit anyone, but on reaching the ground it
exploded. They kept finding bits of it outside for weeks.

Cheers,

John
