I have a customer who is having frequent disconnets with his new Dell SPX-133 Pentium computer. He has a new 28.8 Internal USRobotics Sportster modem. He continually gets dropped after only a few min. on the net. Once he gets dropped Win95 does not register him as being dropped. He tries to dial in and there is lots of static heard through the modem (as if it is still transmitting). It has to be rebooted before it dials again. Dell tech. support said there was something he could do that would fix the inability to hang-up. However, he didn't get what that was. Has anyone had any problems like this? If so, how were they fixed? Any ideas?

He needs to look at the ATI6 screen to see what is happening. See my FAQ for
details.
