I need to enable my aging Gateway PII-400 to run its DVD drive properly. With its original video card it used to work nicely with its software decoder. but now I need to have TV out and the software decoder won't run with the TNT2-64 card that I have in it now, and newer software decoders are too processor hungry to run stutter-free. I believe the only option I have is to use an old hardware decoder card that were common when CPUs were less competent then they are now. I don't understand what software is required to run a hardware decoder but am willing to learn - and if someone has a card to sell me at a reasonable price with some advice on how to use it, I'd be very happy! PS: Updating MB and/or processor is not an option at this point.... -- Joe in Bendigo jhovel AT gmx DOT net
