I'm currently trying to output from MS PowerPoint95 to a software package called Freedom of Press Professional (FOP), but having sizing/layout problems. Any similar experiences and/or solutions? As per the FOP documentation, I'm using the ColorScript 100 Model 30 driver under Win95 to output to file, and then I run the file through the FOP software to output to 35mm film. The ColorScript driver works fine with CorelDRAW and Photoshop, so it appears to be a problem and/or setting with PowerPoint only, and as of yet the Tech Support at Zeos has no answer for me, and Microsoft refers me to Zeos since they have signed a contract stating that they are very familiar with the MS 95 products. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanx, Tom -- mailto:tcbeaton@magicnet.net http://www.magicnet.net/~tcbeaton

Try comp.lang.postscript. FOP also has an interactive mode as I recall. There should be a way to get an error message displayed. Are you using TrueType fonts? Perhaps PowerPoint, being an MS product, does some weird things with then since TT is basicly an MS product. I would also check the ColorScript driver to see if it offers a "Stick to Adobe Conventions" check box. Choose this if so. I also wonder if PP throws out some Level II PS instructions and FOP is only Level I compatible. PhotoShop fonts are bitmapped to the image file as far as I know, typical of such bit image editors. In success with Corel, are you converting all fonts to curves as option selected in output? If both are true, then it just may be a font handling problem with PowerPoint. e-mail: ron.ginsberg@tstation.com ginsb001@maroon.tc.umn.edu
