It takes a a 3.5" SCSI drive, with the same height as a half height 5.25"
drive (which I think is full height for 3.5" drives but I am not sure).

Does it? I have just replaced the drive in an IPX with an old 2Gb Hewlett
Packard job, and as I did not have the jumper diagram to hand I just
stuck it in and hoped for the best. It turns out to be on id two, and both
Solaris 2.5.1 and Linux seem to be happy with this.

Is it a multi sync monitor?

Er, don't you mean 1152x900 at 66Hz? This resolution uses nearly all the
memory avaliable out of 1Mb, leaves 11.5Kb which I assume is used for some
acceleration. You will also need a special 13W3 to 15 pin HD/BNC cable
depending on your monitor. However last time I looked, these cost
an arm and a leg. You can get adaptors for 13W3 to 15 pin HD, but this
will degrade your video signal and I would not recomend it.
