Help hooking up plotter in Solaris

Greetings,

I am having trouble getting Solaris 2.3 to recognize a connection
to a Versatec(epc42) plotter.  I used admintool to setup the
plotter.  However, I need to specify an input filter
(eg. "if:=..." in printcap file using SunOS 4.1.x.)

Unfortunately, in Solaris, there is no printcap file and admintool
does not have a field for specifying input filters.

Does anyone know how to setup printers/plotters in Solaris?
If so, please help me out.
