Please forward a copy of your reply to biology@dreamscape.com Im running SunOS 4.1.3 on an Weitek-upgraded sparc IPC I cant boot! My machine is no longer attached to a network. This network no longer exists. I keep getting this error where the machine says "le0:..." and says it cant find a certain network address!!! Is there some kind of key command that will allow me to get out of this? It wont boot past this. It gets through everything else, it seems to stop right before I would see the login screen. Please forward a copy of your reply to biology@dreamscape.com

It might help to attache your ethernet connector to an ethernet hub. that's what I did wsith my suns. They see the hub as network connection. However, if your machine is looking for a specific network address, this may not work. jaz In article <biology-0907992152340001@sa6-p28.dreamscape.com>, biology@dreamscape.com wrote: > Please forward a copy of your reply to biology@dreamscape.com > > Im running SunOS 4.1.3 on an Weitek-upgraded sparc IPC > > I cant boot! But the box won't be very useful by the end of the year (less useful than an IPC is today) unless you upgrade the OS. Or will it...? >Please forward a copy of your reply to biology@dreamscape.com Already covered that. -MM

Turn off the machine, then turn it on again
during the initial boot up, press stop-a
then boot the machine in single user mode
in the root sheel enter sys-unconfig so the network configuration files get
delete
then boot the machine and it should run you through the system configuration
proccess.
just chose not networked system then.
