When I was younger (through early high school) I used to raid my mother's
things so that I could CD when I was at home alone. One of the things I liked
most, I remember, was stockings. They always felt very good on my skin, and
just "seemed" like femininity to me.
Now that I practice CDing on a semi-regular basis, and buy my own things,
I would like to get some hosiery to wear with it, because of the fantastic
feeling it gave me, and sometimes, when I want to be a little daring, I could
even wear them under sweatclothes or jeans, since I still live in my
boyclothes to appease society.
However, this leads me to the crux of this post.
Seeing that I am 6'3", "big-boned" :-), and have a shoe size of 13 (15
womens', correct?), I have a hard time finding anything that fits me; however,
I can usually find things with a little effort. The one sore spot with me is
stockings and hosiery.
Catalogs don't seem to carry anything that would fit me (the largest
that JC Penney's carries in their catalog is 6X, and considering the abyssmal
experience I had with some 3X that I picked up once, thinking they'd be large
enough may be wholly incorrect. As I recall, they came somewhere to my
mid-thigh, and even if they had fit once I had them that far, they would have
surely run because they were so stretched). I called a place in town that is
a "hosiery discounters/distributers" that is across the street from one of my
favorite game stores, and they only carry up to 4X. I'm not out enough yet
to go into any of the large womens' shops (considering I have relatives who
shop in those stores, and who knows where they shop exactly all the time?).
Thus, what to do? I'd appreciate any info that anyone could give me on
a source to solve this impasse (in the Houston area would be preferable, but
mail-order may also work fine). Also, any information as to what size fits...
well, what size :-) would be appreciated.

While I'm only 6' even, and I have small feet (9 to 9 1/2 womens), I have
VERY long legs (approx. 35" inseam). So, I've had the same problem. The
best ones I've found were Just My Size 1X's. Note that 3X's are not
necessarily taller than 1X's. Read the size chart on the display or on
the back of the package. Just My Size are the only pantyhose I can wear
more than once (any others I've tried run very quickly).
Just a suggestion.
