Do you know that.... The two free-to-air English TV stations in Hong Kong
put on great movies every night!!!!
Many of these moives are still only available on Laser Disc / Video tape /

After cinema showing, then a movie will go to free-to-air TV 4 months (at
least) till 3 years (at most) later.

"Madonna - the girlie show", first run in Nov, 1993 on TVB Pearl while she
was still in Australia. LD/Video was released in June, 1994. VideoCD was
released in June, 1997.

"From Dusk Till Dawn", first run in June 1997 on ATV World. The video is
still on the "new release" counter in vidoe rental shops in UK & Australia.
(No Laser Disc in UK & Australia). It is also avialable on Cable TV in
US... but not free-to-air TV.

"Strictly Ballroom", first run in June 1993 on ATV World, Hong Kong
official LD release date: August, 1993... is it ridiculous???

God, you have to pay if you are not in Hong Kong!!!!

So, if you are one of the typical Hong Kong citizens, only watching
Cantonese dramas on the two free-to-air Cantonese Stations...
Poor boys, you miss a lot!!!

Don't miss "Batman - Forever" coming Saturday on TVB Pearl..
"the x-files" now re-run after mid-night, from Monday - Friday...

In other countries, only dated movies on Sunday night & terrible TV soap
available on free-to-air TV
