     Gentlemen:

I am learning English by myself but have not got enough English
matelials for
learning and practising. And if you have anything for me I would like to
get it.
Living in Russia it is very difficult to learn English.
Please let me know what I shall do to be your subscriber.
    My e-mail is vklestov@online.ru .

 Yours truly,
         Vitaly Klestov

The first thing you have to do is stop using that ridiculous alphabet.
In exchange, we'll go metric.

That's gender specific, and therefore insulting to the weaker sex.
Besides, a salutation is unnecessary in a newsgroup posting, and you
shouldn't end a salutation with colon in an informal communication. A
comma is more friendly.

Nehmo
Outlook Express can be configured to check spelling. In the main OE
window, goto Tools>Options>Spelling tab. Check the first two boxes. Make
your own decisions on the remaining "ignore" boxes. Press Apply. Press
OK.

If you have an internet connection, you have access to all the materials
you need. I'm curious; how much are you paying for your connection?

Nehmo
I'm not so sure. It seems a great many Russians learn to speak English
quite fluently even before they ever leave their homeland. I don't speak
Russian and I've never been there, so I really can't put forth an
explanation.

Nehmo
For starters, limit your corssposting to only the most relevant
newsgroups. I deleted some of them in this posting.

Isn't the expression "weaker sex" extremely insulting to women?

I had to change my 'View' command to Cyrillic K018-R, whatever that is to
read Vitaliy's name. Perhaps another Mac user can tell me how to write in
cyrillic in a Netscape posting.

I believe Nehmo was being ironic.

I hope so. It's often been said that if men had to give birth, there
would never be another generation. :-)

I believe Nehmo was being ironic.

Nehmo
You're right. That's what I was being. I can't understand why people are
always taking me seriously.
