National Post Who do you think would win this match-up?: A billion dollars worth of glorious, cranium-stretching technology, including infrared night-time cameras, concealed motion-detecting devices and 24-hour computer-enhanced surveillance systems, all in addition to a 6,200-kilometre fence stretching from Texas to California, or Mexicans trying to sneak into the U.S. by slipping surreptitiously over the border and trudging across the desert by night. http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2010/10/22/kelly-mcparland-u-s-gives-up-on-mega-tech-virtual-border-with-mexico/

"It's called a virtual fence because it will stop virtually no one," --- Jay Leno It was never intended that it would work. The federal government loves illegal immigration, and has for decades. Nothing the federal government does on border security or enforcement is intended to work. It's all just smoke and mirrors. That's why the states have to do it themselves if it's ever going to be done. The states need to say to the feds what the sanctuary cities are saying, "Screw you, we are going to do it our way."

There is a very informational, new HBO documentary called "The Fence". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1745844 It was produced, directed and written by Rory Kennedy, daughter of Bobby. She presents the Minutemen as regular, decent folks. -Ramon
