Hi,

I have recently upgraded to Windows 98 from Windows 95.  I previously had 
my HP Scanjet 5100C installed under Win95, but new drivers are required 
for it to operate under Win98....upon spending many hours scouring 
through hp's forums and other places on the 'net, I have found the 
drivers (saving me US$20 and 2 weeks) but have some problems with getting 
it running....hoping y'all out there can help me out!

Various suggestions have come in about installing 
the Scanjet first, then the SCSI second....this has worked for me, but I 
now am  
experiencing problems, when I start up the Scanning program/utility to use 
the scanner....things seem to be okay, then the system slows right down, 
the mouse slows right down, then it just hangs.

Has anybody had similar problems, or may be able to offer me a solution?
