Go into regedit. Look under Hkey_Local_Machine\Enum\Pci

In this directory, you'll see a lot of folders that begin with the name
VEN_ (for example: VEN_1106&DEV_3104&SUBSYS_12640925&REV_48). Now with each
of these VEN_ folders, you'll see a plus beside them which will allow you
to open a subdirectory with a folder named BUS_ inside each of these VEN_
folders (for example: BUS_00&DEV_0C&FUNC_09). Click open the BUS_ folder
(ignore clicking on the plus sign) and look for DEVICEDESC and to the right
you'll see the name of the device. Search every BUS_ folder for DEVICEDESC
in each of the VEN_ folders until you find Sound Blaster Live. When you
find it, delete the VEN_ folder it was found in. Restart your computer. I
had to do this with my Sound Blaster Live Value because I couldn't remove
or reinstall it.
