An update for everyone..  I have checked microsoft and no help from there
(thankyou eric) and i have replaced the kernel32.dll file with a friends
version of win98 and no change (thankyou kafa).  I have also tried Win95
version of the dll with the dreaded blue screen and replaced it with the
Win98 version.  I have copied the file from the windows .cab archives
without luck..  It looks like a complete reinstallation again :(
