IEEE 1394 and Windows 98 (not SE)

When I installed a Sound Blaster Audigy card I was informed Windows 98
doesn't support IEEE 1394 (Firewire), only 98 SE does. Is there a way to
fix this without having to reinstall Windows?

Thanks,
D.

Try the windows update site. You may find they have a fix for this by now.

Or try the card manufacturers site for updates also.

I do not think there is an update unless you update the O/S to Win98SE
or later :/
