Hi, my system freezes whenever I select DirectMusic or DirectSound in DX
8.1. What
could be causing it. Sometimes when I select 'ignore bypass' it comes up
with it latter and all works fine. Most times I have to 'end process'

SB 5.1 Live PIII 733 Win98 256 RAM.

Any ideas??

G.

Have you updated the sound card drivers and also look for badly
installed drivers using Safemode as per,

On one of those occasions it comes up, disable hardware acceleration - that
normally does the trick. You can then look into installing drivers again.
