Reluctant as I am to inject actual relevant information into the discussions, two newsworthy events were reported today in Toronto: 1) The Ontario Attorney General, Marion Boyd, has invoked a little-used power to send Paul Teale directly to trial, thus skipping a preliminary hearing. While I am unclear as to what all this actually means, it is clear that this is an extraordinary action. Perhaps someone better versed in Canadian and Ontario law can explain this event further. In any case, this move will reduce by several months the time it takes for Teale to go to trial. 2) Although I don't have many details, I also heard on the radio that Gordon Domm *will* be taken to trial for his attempts to break the ban on Homolka trial information. - michael
