I'll let Steve speak for himself on that score, but your argument that
even though the kind of government intrusion steve suffered is
illegal, we shouldn't do the things that the government doesn't want
us to do anyway seems to me to be giving up to their strong-arm
tactics. Giving up is something steve has *not* done. He is still
appealing the absurd failure to find damage under the ECPA
interception rules, and I think he would be horrified to see his name
bruited about as Exhibit A in "Why you should do what the Government
wants you to do."
