try to get Canadian subsiduries to quit doing things such as making buses for Cubans (GM Canada was threatened until Canadian law said that they hed to honour their agreements, which US law said was illegal. We did not stop trade with Cuba. Our government has not got the right to tell me I may not go there (as US law forbids US citizens going to certain countries without special permission because they are considered enemies of the state). US has tried many times to legislate laws in the US to affect citizens of other countries, luckily so far they have not been accepted elsewhere. I am Canadian and proud of it, but I am not happy with the new (as in recent) constitution, as the only benefit I have seen come of it is that the Lawyers have become richer, and the judges now make the law, not the elected politicians, just like it happens in the US (abortion is legal there because of judges not elected politicians, the death penalty has become illegal then legal in the US not because politicians decided thus, but because judges changed and the law was then changed by new judges).
