I have seen the very pitiful attempts at trying to label me as hypocritical when I call for no name calling and use the slang word "Kiddo" in the same paragraph. A kid is a kiddo is a child is a minor is a teenager or less is a kiddo. For those who think that this is disparaging, I suggest reading more, getting into the real world more, try looking at the bigger picture, try to expand your "horizons". I have used the moniker "kiddo" when it has appeared to me that those that I called that, were not yet mature or if they were chronologically advanced past puberty, their mind had not yet caught up. To me, there seems to be way too many folks in these groups that make "much ado about nothing". Let us concern ourselves with i.s.p. issues be they good, bad or both. That would be me, however, I would not presume to label you as
*anything*. I do, however, stand by my assertion that your referring to
people as "kiddoes", (assuming that you do not refer to folks who are
actually minors) in calling for an end to namecalling is a hypocritical
*act*. It's meant to be demeaning, and therefore is just as
reprehensible as any other incidence of namecalling that you could care
to cite.
If your reasoning cannot stand on its own without your resorting to
condescension and self-aggrandizing, it cannot stand.

Also, though, calling someone a kiddoe is still an inflammatory remark and will be taken as such. If you truly want to discuss issues and facts, which I believe that you do, then be above any name calling. There is no room for it in serious adult discussions. It will prove that you are a credible source and we can win the fight against ISPs and other businesses that see fit to treat consumers in an unfavorable fashion. Remember, when you call someone a "Kiddoe" to show that the person you are responding to is young, or not grown up or is acting immature, you appear to be no better. Just some friendly advice.
