DON't get a PCMCIA faxmodem. Get the SurfSquirrel and a separate modem.

	1. The SurfSquirrel is a SCSI (2?) interface which means you can
	   connect up to 7 devices. You might not need more than 1 now, but
	   you will in time!

	2. The modem is MUCH faster through the SurfSquirrel than any PCMCIA 
	   faxmodem could ever be, it's more easily interchangeable AND a
	   lot cheaper!

IMHO of course ;-)
