Hi,
Just happened to read about this group. Since I'm relatively new to
Linux, and am still keeping my A1000 (yes with an awesome 512kB ;),
I'd like to know if it's capable of running Linux, and what taste of
Linux?
Thanks & regards,

No, sorry. You need at least a 68020 (not 680020EC - need a memory
management unit) and an floating point unit. If you can get hold of a
accelerator then yes, you can. I don't know if they exist though. You also
need at least 2Mb of RAM, but that is a bare minimum...
