Can't sign on using proxy 2.0

I used the directions from microsoft to connect to AOL using the Microsoft
Proxy 2.0, however when I attempt to connect AOL tells me "An error occurred
while requesting a proxy".

I would think that I need to setup a dia; up connection with the Auto-Dial
properties of the Proxy server but I am a new AOL user and I do not have an
account or a phone number to setup. Could this be the problem?
