Darren Reed asked: >>Do we need to actually spam someone (or the list) before anyone will >>do anything ? David Schwarz replied: >Threatening an illegal action to obtain a civil remedy is illegal, >at least in the United States. Asking a question isn't the same as making a threat. In any case, why don't we simply give a frustrated Darren an answer? >From personal experience, the following works for getting off com-priv: Send a message to listproc@lists.psi.com with the following in the body of the message and the subject line: signoff com-priv <the e-mail name under which you're subscribed> Note: if you include a "signature" at the bottom of the message, there's always the remote chance that it will confuse the list processor, so don't. I know that the <unsubscribe> is supposed to work the same as <signoff>, but I can bear personal witness to <unsubscribe> not working.
