Hi

Isn't this already done around the world by my multicast Session Directory,
mSD?
mSD is a daemon application listening for announcements and presenting that
information using a Web interface.

Right now (without any centralized organization) I can check which sessions
are being seen on the following URLs (just a random pick from my list):

http://newfie.ifca.unican.es:8000/
http://ultravox.uc3m.es:8000/
http://fw1.rz.hs-wismar.de:8000/
http://www.mathcs.emory.edu:8000/
http://msd.cdt.luth.se:8000/
http://msd.marratech.com:8000/

Geographically this selection includes Spain, Germany, USA and Sweden.

Sigh, and checking a couple the mSD sites around the world show that multicast
routing from LuleοΏ½ is broken AGAIN :-(
