ASP is a method to script actions on the web server. XML is a format to represent data and structure which new browsers can understand. They are different things. ASP pages can generate XML output. So can SQL Server as a return type from queries. None of this is trivial, there are definate strategy and design decisions needed before setting off on a real project. -- -JE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John Ehlers FieldScope, LLC Measurement and Reporting Systems www.fieldscope.com 203.637.1922 "MVA" <william.mva@btconnect.com> wrote in message news:lmoj7.45205$ZU6.89383@NewsReader... > Hi all, > > First of all, my apologies for posting in the wrong newsgroups if this does > not apply.
