I ma creating a database and it will be a free service paid with banner ads. I have to do a financial projection of what banner ads will bring in for revenue. Some aspects or advertising have similar expectations, so if your expertise is in another advertising area than internet banner ads go ahead and give your advice ...it all helps :) Does anyone know what the sales ratio is for banner ad sales on web sites? e.g. visitors to web site\visitors buy ads. In other words what amount of web site visitors does a web site need for one person to buy a banner ad? I know that the question is vague in some ways but it is a general rule in the world of sales that 10 phone calls usually make 3 appointments and that 3 appointment make 1 sale, assuming your product is in demand and the salesperson has an affinity for sales work and has a good work ethic. Also for instance ... Click throughs on banner ads are in about 1%. So some ratios are good for a starting point and that is what I am interested in finding out. Any advice on who I could ask for this kind of advice is also appreciated. -- Thanks george@bluelinemarketing.com
