load variable with function address

Hi,
I want to pass a variable to SetWindowLong' last param to set up a subclass
function. I'm trying to declare and load this variable.

// Declaration of the variable to hold the pointer to the address of my
WNDPROC

LRESULT  (APIENTRY *pfStatusBarSubClassProc)(
  HWND hwnd,
  UINT uMsg,
  WPARAM wParam,
  LPARAM lParam);

// line to load the variable with the pointer address of my WNDPROC

pfStatusBarSubClassProc= StatusBarSubClassProc;

The compiler doesn't like this. Why?
