I am working on a project in a software engineering class in college and none of us, including the professor, can find any way to do anything other than sequential files in C++. It would be really nice for out program if we could open files for append or make keyed index files like Pascal has but looking though several C/C++ books none of us could find anything. So my questions are: Is there any way to use files other than sequentially in C++? If so, then what can be done and how can I find more info on it? TIA Darrell Bennington
