TROUBLE WITH ALEX

I am using MHSnet and am having a lot of trouble with ALEX.

It seems that all mhsnet stuff is going through ALEX.

I keep getting the following

From root Tue Mar 30 18:59 EST 1993
From: ftpserver@plaza.aarnet.oz
Subject: "tsx-11.mit.edu/pub/linux/sources/sbin/bootsys3.tar.Z" from ftpserver@plaza.aarnet.oz
The following file has been sent to you at citecuc.citec.oz.au:
  Mode Size Modify time Name
  0640 0 Mar 30 18:58 tsx-11.mit.edu/pub/linux/sources/sbin/bootsys3.tar.Z

All that I get is a 0 length file. yet if I do a netfetch -l I do actually
see the correct size of the file (approx 80k).

What is happening.

Based on this problem and others that archive sites seem to be having with
ALEX maybe MHSnet stuff should not be forced to go through this path.

Thanks

Shayne Smith

It seems that my problem was caused by the other site actually removing the
file between my netfetch -l and my netfetch.

Sorry for the headache ( It still shouldn't have sent me a 0 length file)
