The messages from TMX are all genuine -- we have been changing the names of links to UUCP sites to get around name conflicts at SUNIII sites, adding new connections, and deleting old ones. There are a couple more expected, but then it should become quiet again. It would be nice if all changes could be done at one time, but that's not how customer requests come in. > With SunIII the state mesages were only about 300 bytes or so, but SunIV > they're often 5-10 times larger. MHSnet topology messages contain a lot more data than SUNIII, and sites with large numbers of connections like tmx send out larger topology messages. -- Computer Science, Sydney University, Madsen Bldg F09, Sydney NSW 2006 Phone: +61 2 692 3423 Fax: +61 2 692 3838
