The Internet site, ftp.monash.edu.au, mirrors the Microsoft Systems
Journal source code directory which is located on the United States
archive site ftp.microsoft.com in /developr/MSJ. The local copy can be
found in the directory /pub/msj. The mirror is run twice a week, however,
new items will probably only appear once a month when a new issue of the
journal is printed. The archive is updated each Sunday and Wednesday at
10:30 PM AEST.

Ftp access the archive is quite simple: type "ftp ftp.monash.edu.au"
to your prompt. You'll be asked for a login name (type "anonymous"). Enter
username@hostname.domain for a password.

Most of the MSJ files are in "zip" archives for which you will
need the pkunzip utility. A copy of pkunzip can be found in the pub/pc
directory on ftp.monash.edu.au. You must type "bin" or "tenex" before
getting any files. This site only keeps the files from January 1993 onwards.
Older MSJ files can be found on archie.au:/micros/pc/oak/msjournl.

         Steve
