archie.au seems to be failing

It seems that archie.au is not accepting telnets.
I have been trying for several days, and all a I get is:

Trying 139.130.23.2 port 23...
telnetd: All network ports in use.
Remote server has closed connection

Is there any news about what is happening?
Perhaps there is somebody I should email/ring to
tell them about this?  (I am surprised to find nothing
about it in aus.archives - which is why I am posting!)
