I am still (and rather urgently) looking for someone to volunteer to
organise an AUUG Summer Conference in QLD (specifically Brisbane).
At a recent meeting of the Queensland Unix Users Group (QUUG), I
spoke about that group joining AUUG (their decision in pending).
Unfortunately, we can't really wait for their decision before
getting the summer conference organisation under way.
( I also spoke to a couple of Brisbane AUUG members who appeared
interested to help organise a Summer Conference, but were
unsure about taking on the role or organiser - so there is help to
be had. )
We would very much like to see a conference in Brisbane, but we can't
do it without someone local to organise the event.
If you think you can help, please contact me ASAP (as I have already
let several 'deadlines' slip). We need to get the ball rolling NOW!
