The interconnection of UNIX machines at high speed over a wide area
needs technology such as QPSX DQDB. Dr Econonou will discuss this
technology and its relationship to Fastpac (Telecom's 10 MBs wide area
network service), IEEE 802.6, SMDS and B-ISDN. He will explain how
these ATM technologies fit into the existing communications
environment.
