The Australian Computer Society's Queensland Branch produces a monthly
industry magazine, called "The Source". Each month a particular theme is
chosen. Recent themes have been CASE, EIS, Help Desks, Project Management.

The November/December issue is scheduled to cover the (deliberately broad)
topic of Open Systems. However, due to circumstances beyond our control,
two people who were due to submit articles have been unable to, due to
work commitments.

I would therefore like to invite anyone who is interested, by yesterday if
possible, to submit an article about Open Systems. It need not be totally
technical, articles with a serious marketing bias would be welcomed, as
would case studies -- please contact me with any suggested topics.

The catch is that we really need the articles to be submitted in the next
few days, and I really need to know TODAY just who will be submitting.
Again, I stress that ANYONE even reomtely interested should contact me
anyway.

"The Source" is distributed to over 1700 ACS members throughout Queensland,
and provides a comprehensive coverage of the IT industry (and market) in
the Sunshine State.
