Hi there,

I have to do a major assignment for university in which I have to describe
the inner workings of CD's and DVD's. What I am looking for are very low
level facts about how the drives actually work. Information regarding, for
instance, what type of LASER is used, what wavelength of light is fired,
what voltages and currents go through the drive and how the actually layers
of the disks are made and composed of.

If you have any of the above information or know where I could find it out,
I would be extremely greatful!
