My advice is to check out the bundle MediaVision is now offering instead. It
comes with a Pro Audio Spectrum 16 sound card (much better than the SB Pro in
the Creative Labs bundle), a good new Sony CD-ROM, and a useful selection of
CD's - Ultima, Wing Coomander 2, Comptons Encyclopdia etc. The PAS 16 also
comes with a good selection of DOS and Windows software. Prices I have seen
range from $995 (Upgrades Plus, in Melb; Ozzie Soft in Melb) and another
mail-order shop in Sydney had the bundle available at $1095. 

The package is marketed as the "CD Fusion" pack. Upgrades Plus also offer, for
an extra $99, to install it for you (nationwide, I think) and give you a 2 year
warranty.

I have a PAS 16 /NEC CDR84 combo, and the card works great. Highly recommended.
MediaVision also have a Compuserve forum, which helps a heap for driver
updates, tech support etc.
