Hi I've had a Yamaha CDR400t CD-r for about a year now and burnt numerous CD games from it. They have almost always worked OK on my cheapie "BTCC" CD reader. However while the last few CDs work, they cause the CD reader to freeze after awhile. The reader motor seems to "hunt" (spped keeps changing) and instead of the light on the front extinguishing a few seconds after the CD has been inserted, it stays on indefinitely. Eventually the CD reader won't open its tray, can't be read from and one has to reboot to be able to use it again. The CD reader seems to work fine with silver CDs and other older burnt CDs from the same CD-r. The current batch of CD-r blanks was Mitsui gold the first 26 worked OK, the problem has only surfaced with the last 4. I often get "TrackWriter Warning 765[x]: Operation continues" as an "error" message from a burn, though I'm told that any CD produced should still be OK, though the CD-r burner might need some adjustment. Any help appreciated JR

I expect your understanding for having to write this, but your recorder might start exhibiting the first failure signs. Using Mitsui is a wise choice. Use ECDpro and compare the error messages to those appearing at the US Yamaha web-site. Jimmy Dean wrote ... >I've had a Yamaha CDR400t CD-r for about a year now and burnt numerous CD >games from it. You have to totally reboot the computer because the Burner is freezing. I would look at the CD-R you can ask a technician to replace the lenses = on the Burner (may be cheaper than a new burner) Thanks Adrian Jimmy Dean wrote in message ... >Hi > >I've had a Yamaha CDR400t CD-r for about a year now and burnt numerous = CD=20 >games from it.
