The Sixth Australian Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI'93)

	Preliminary CALL FOR PAPERS and PARTICIPATION

		Melbourne, Australia  
		17 - 19, November, 93

AI'93 will be held in Melbourne, Victoria during 17 - 19/11/93 
with one day workshops and tutorials on 16/11/93. Paper submissions 
are welcome from researchers in all fields of AI. The conference 
will include presentation of refereed papers and invited talks. 
The conference proceedings will be published in a book format. 

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
	- Machine Learning and Knowledge Acquisition
	- Cognitive Modeling
	- Robotics & Vision
	- Natural Language
	- Automated Reasoning (scheduling, planning)
	- Knowledge-based Systems
	- Knowledge Representation
	- Qualitative Reasoning
	- Neural Networks & Genetic Algorithms
	- Distributed AI

PAPER FORMAT FOR REVIEW:

Each submission must be clearly legible, with good quality print. 
The body of the paper, including the abstract and references, must not
exceed a total of sixteen double-spaced pages, formatted with a twelve 
point font and one inch margins. Each paper must have a separate title 
page including the postal addresses of all authors and e-mail addresses 
if available, an abstract, and at least three keywords indicating the 
problem area and general approach. 

REQUIREMENT FOR SUBMISSION:

Authors must submit four copies of their papers by Friday,
28 May, 1993. Electronic or FAX submission is NOT acceptable. 

Important Dates: Deadline for submission:         Friday, 28 May, 93
		 Acceptance/rejection letter out: Monday, 19 July, 93
		 Camera ready copy due:           Monday, 9 August, 93
		 Workshops and tutorials:         Tuesday, 16 November, 93
		 Conference to be held:      Wedn-Fri, 17-19, November, 93
