Hi, I would make a bootable win98se floppy, then copy the file "oakcdrom.sys" and "mscdex.exe" to this floppy. now make config.sys file that has this line in it (as well as whatever else is in the config.sys file, if it does not exist then create one and put this single line in it, Do this copy con a:\cdrom.sys <enter> device=a:\oakcdrom.sys /d:mscd001 <enter> [now press ctrl+Z or Functkey 6] ^Z now do this to create an autoexec.bat file copy con a:\autoexec.bat <enter> a:\mscdex /d:mscd001 <enter> Ctrl+Z or Functionkey 6 <enter> Now you will have a bootable floppy that will load a cdrom driver so your cd should be drive d:, take note as the system boots up and you will see a line on the screen telling you what the cd drive is.
