Are you burning as mp3's or converting the mp3's to a audio cd ? I usually just burn mp3's to cd as a data cd and have never had a problem in any drive. Do you have a problem with other burnt cd's reading in this drive ? if not then I guess your method is stuffing it up somewhere ..... try just burning the mp3's as data without any fancy intervention by Nero. Or if it's a audio cd then choose audio cd in nero and just drag/drop the mp3's, nero will convert on the fly to audio cd. I Even burn winamp onto my mp3 CD's as well with a playlist and a autorun file, so it automatically starts playing thru winamp with random selection. Did it this way so I won't need winamp installed on any different computer to play em. they play fine thru my TV DVD Player without any problems. (NOTE: DVD player must be mp3 compatible) To try this way: Copy winamp and all it's files (including sub directories like plugins) to a directory somewhere on your computer, preferablly in a sub directory with your mp3's. start winamp from this directory and set it up how you like (display, repeat, random etc.) this is how it will look when run from the cd (you can change it's look and feel when running but it will always revert back to it's default setting on restart, due to being only read only on the cd, it can't change it's settings) find your mp3's you want to burn and make a playlist thru winamp, save this somewhere you can find it. I usually build up a directory of mp3's to I get cd size then make a playlist (if you store the winamp directory in this directory as well, it makes it simple to check folder size to make sure it will fit/fill a cd - right click the mp3 directory and choose properties and it will show size) open up notebook or any plain text editor of your choice and make a file called autorun.inf put the following in the file: [autorun] OPEN=winamp\winamp.exe playlist.m3u ICON=winamp.exe,1 you don't need the second line, but it just sets the cd icon to one of winamps in this case winamps first icon, substitute the playlist.m3u for your playlist.m3u (try not to save blank lines as well) I usually set up the cd with the mp3's in the root directory, with the autorun.inf file and the playlist file in there with em and have a sub directory containg winamp and it's files (in my case this directory is called winamp as the OPEN= command shows , it's calling winamp.exe from winamp directory. burn this info onto a cd as data and away ya go. cd would contain these files: ------ CD Contents -------------------------- autorun.ini playlist.m3u list of mp3's [Winamp] - directory containing winamp etc. ------ END CD Contents ---------------------- ..... simple as that ......... The mp3's can even be split into sub directories as long as your playlist file reflects that (Don't try and rearrange files thru Nero as it will lose the info in the playlist) - set the directories first, then make a playlist then burn Have a play with this method if you like .... I find it's great for just checking a cd in the computer and getting random songs playing in the background. you can even set winamp for minimised running by changing the minimised=0 to minimised=1 in the winamp.ini file before burning (matter of fact you can set a lot of options there first before burning) Winamps handy for this as it doesn't need to be installed to play this way. usual rules apply ... test with a re-writeable first (or an image drive) unless you have lots of mates over for drinks and need some coasters. Nero 6.3 is worth the upgrade, as it contains it's own image drive, which is handy for testing cd's before burning. Cheers
