I have an Iomega ZipCD 650 8x4x32. It has not really given me any troubles, except I find that I can no longer format new RW CDs. I have tried a couple of different manufacturers (Sony, Maxell, and Packard-Bell. The format fails after a couple of minutes with an 'illegal start block address ...' (I can't catch the rest of the message as it vanishes really quickly. I do notice that at no time in the first couple of minutes does the CD 'burning' LED come on. I tried some of my older Maxell CDRW discs, and they appear to format (but they have to go through an erase cycle first). Iomega have not been a great deal of help. I have uninstalled the Iomega DirectCD and Esay-CD Creator apps and re-installed. I can't figure what is going on. Can anyone help?
