I have just purchased an HP SureStore 4020i CD burner, and now I find out that there are drivers & software for Windows for Wallies 3.x, Windoze 95, but not NT. I already have an Adaptec 2940 SCSI card so I don't wish to run the cut-down ISA controller that comes with the unit. The install software seems to only seek out the supplied card. Even with the supplied card, I can only get access to the drive under DOS, so that's useless as all the apps are GUI. Short of spending big bucks on stuff like EZSCSI or whatever from Adaptec, which I am told DO support NT and hence would enable me to use the HP on my system, is there any way I can get the drive to be recognised under NT? I had a look at the HP web site and they state that they do not support NT. This sucks. Has anyone else managed to get this drive running under NT? Any help would be greatly appreciated. --- There is a certain species of fish where the parents eat their young. I used to wonder as to how nature could produce something so self-destructive and pointless. I would think, "how could the parents eat the young that they have invested so much effort into rearing?". Now, looking at my three-year-old, I can sympathise with the parent fish.
